Why do you love working at Columbia? I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work in more than 8+ schools, and the Columbia staff is exceptional.  The relationships among the staff are professional and always supportive.  These relationship and commitment to continuous improvement are reflected in the high expectations we hold for one another and our students.  These high expectations result in outstanding student achievement. 

What is your favorite thing about teaching? No day is ever the same and everyday is always interesting and exciting.  I love seeing students develop deep understandings of mathematics.  Students get very excited when they realize they understand a concept deeply and can communicate and apply that understanding to new concepts.  

Favorite place to visit: Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Hobbies/Interests: Reading, Walking, Hiking, Time with Family (3 children, 1 son-in-law, 1 Vizsla)

Fun fact! I am a sports fan!  I love College Basketball (March Madness!!!), the NBA, and the NFL
