Marching in the Annandale Parade
On Saturday, October 28, 2023, the Columbia community came out in force to march in the Annandale Parade. Students, parents, families, and staff members gathered at the starting line, excited to show off their school spirit and celebrate the community.
The parade route ran along Columbia Pike, from the historic white church and Annandale Shopping Center near Gallows Road, all the way to the Bowling Alley-Safeway. Columbia Elementary School was one of over 50 organizations and groups participating in the parade.
The CES Cougar Pride marched proudly through the streets, cheering and chanting school cheers, and handing out candy to the crowd. The students were all dressed in red or CES spirit wear, and their enthusiasm was contagious.
The crowd cheered as the CES Cougar Pride marched by, and the students beamed with pride. Thank you to all who participated! It was a wonderful day to be a Cougar!
