Mrs. Doherty joined Columbia in 2015 after moving to Annandale, VA, her neighborhood school. She graduated from Wheelock College in 1996 and pursued her MA Degree in Administration from Northeastern University. She has taught on the West Coast and Cambridge, MA. She loves being a part of the community that she teaches in, getting to watch her students develop dreams, opinions, and grow into young adults that are ready to change the future.
