Years in Education: 20 years

Why do you love working at Columbia? I love working at Columbia because it’s a small school and I can get to know so many of the students. Columbia students are some of the best I’ve ever worked with and Columbia teachers really are the most caring and hard-working teachers I’ve ever known. Plus, I’ve gotten to see my own 3 kids attend Columbia.

What is your favorite thing about teaching? My favorite thing about teaching is getting to see the students grow and change so much over the years. It’s awesome to see 5^th graders being promoted to middle school and to remember them from Kindergarten!

Favorite place to visit: My family loves being able to go to the Outer Banks.

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy watching movies, especially anything Marvel, and going to my kids’ soccer games and orchestra concerts. I enjoy trying out new recipes and getting deals at thrift stores!

Fun fact!  My first job as a teenager was at McDonalds!
