Columbia Staff Spotlight - Ms. Stone
This week's spotlight is on Ali Stone. Ms. Stone is our amazing multi-age classroom teacher!
We love having Mrs. Stone with us at Columbia! Let's learn more about her...
Years at Columbia: 21 years
Years in Education: 21 years
Why you love working at Columbia: I love the small, close community at Columbia…it feels like a family! I especially love being able to spend two years with all my kiddos and their families in my multiage class. The relationships I create here make my heart happy!
What's your favorite thing about teaching? The KIDS! I love building relationships with my students! I also love using my creativity to make learning FUN. Watching my students develop a love of learning and grow leaps and bounds over our two is also really sweet.
Favorite vacation spot or place to travel: I LOVE to travel and have been fortunate to visit many amazing places. Greece, Italy, Hawaii and Alaska have been just a few of my favorites. My bucket list is long!
Hobbies/Interests: Besides traveling, I love taking my dog Oakley for walks, working out at Pure Barre, trying new recipes and restaurants, reading, crafting and spending time with my family and friends.
Fun fact: I have traveled to 40 out of the 50 US states. And, in college I participated in a 48 hour Dance Marathon to raise money for kids with cancer at the Hershey Medical Center.
