Ms. Stone started at Columbia in 2002 after graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education...WE ARE...! At Penn State, she was selected as an intern for the Professional Development School program and had the unique opportunity to be in a first grade classroom for a full year of student teaching...an invaluable experience. In 2008, Ms. Stone received her Masters in Literacy Instruction from George Mason University. After teaching first grade for 3 years, she switched to teaching a 1st & 2nd multiage class which she LOVES! In her free time, Ms. Stone loves to walk and snuggle her dog Oakley and new puppy Auggie, work out at Pure Barre, travel, cook, craft, read and spend time with her family and friends.
