Weekly update for January 26, 2024

 

Dear CES friends and families:

 

I hope students are enjoying their student holiday today and that you are enjoying this spring like weather! Teachers have been working hard on professional development tasks, finishing up progress reports, and working on planning and pacing instructional units for the 3rd quarter of school.

 

As you can see below, we are excited to plan for our 1st annual Family STEAM Night at Columbia ES, to be held on February 22nd. Please carefully review the weekly newsletter from your child's teacher for more details.

 

We look forward to welcoming back our Cougars on Monday, January 29th.

Early Dismissal on Thursday, 1/25

 

Dear CES friends and families:

 

This is a gentle reminder that we will have an early-release day tomorrow on Thursday, January 25th.

 

Dismissal time for students will be 2:05pm with the following exceptions:

 

Pre-School AM Classes will be dismissed at 11:30am

NO PM Pre-School Classes will be held tomorrow

 

Teacher Workday on Friday, 1/26

There is no school for students on Friday, January 26th.

Weekly update for January 19, 2024

 

Dear CES friends and families:

What a week it has been! After the holiday on Monday, a snow day on Tuesday, a 2-hour delayed start on Wednesday, and today another snow day, we all have been on quite a wild ride this week! Thank you to everyone at home for your flexibility and support as we have navigated all these twists and turns to our normal routines. 

 

As we look forward to next week, please remember to mark your calendars for our 2-hour early release on Thursday, January 25th with dismissal at 2:05pm.

 

Also as a reminder for the end of next week, Friday, January 26th, will be a teacher workday and student holiday as we end the 2nd quarter of school.

News from Annandale HS - Family boot camp and baseball camp opportunities!

 

Feb 17th - Family Bootcamp

1. Get in shape for the New Year!  Matt Stevens of Athlete Up Fitness and Annandale High School’s Football strength and conditioning coach is hosting a family bootcamp to help raise money for the football team.  Camp is $20 a family and hosted in Annandale’s Aux Gym.

PTA meeting canceled tonight

 

Good morning CES friends and families,

 

I hope you are enjoying the snow day today. Please continue to keep an eye on the news this afternoon/evening in case if there are delays or any other adjustments to our normal operations this week.

 

Although we did have a virtual option for our monthly PTA meeting tonight, we will be canceling this month's meeting. The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th at 7pm.
